This is what they mean when they say “romanticize your life,” right?

When i was a kid, i used to pretend i lived in a musical Like I was a Disney princess.

I sung and danced my way through everything. Maybe i was onto something? 😂

There is a lot that goes into fitting workouts into your life when you’re a working mom.

Logistically, it’s a bit of a hassle.

You have to pack gym clothes, curve out time to go, figure out what you’re actually gonna be doing once you’re at the gym…

And then there’s the mental part. 9 times out of 10, I really don’t feel like going to the gym at all.

In fact, sometimes I try to get out of it. But the trick really is to just do it.

Do not have that conversation with yourself about whether or not you feel like it.

This was a hard one. But I’m always glad I ended up going once I do go.

screenshot this out if you’re looking for something quick to do:
15 goblet squats
15 hip thrustS
10 burpees
10 box jumps

Three rounds. As a little rest in between sets as possible.
Easy workouts for moms

The working parent weekend to-do list is never actually getting finished.

So if I can take dinner off the list and trade it for more family time, less rushing, and maybe even self care, I’ll take it.

Millennial moms spent most of their adult lives dressed in skin tight everyday. Skinny jeans. Bandage dresses. Leggings as pants.

We are over it. We are prioritizing comfort and self care now. Even if it means looking like crazy bag lady ghosts at home.

I’ll@be drinking my coffee wrapped in my kids’ SpongeBob blanket while wearing a collagen mask because i’m a grownup and can do what i want.

I just also want my husband to constantly reassure me that he still finds me attractive 😂

Millennials have the audacity to walk around at home looking like homeless bag ladies 95% of the time and still ask their husbands if they still find them hot 😂

The working millennial Mom, part 13

pre-children, I was someone who meal prepped on weekends.

I always made sure I had lunches packed for my work week.

I always figured I’d be able to manage keeping that up after children.

But as it turns out, there’s a lot of things that I don’t manage to keep up as a full-time working mom. I used to feel badly about it.

Used to think that if I worked a little bit harder, I just optimize my time a little bit better…

One of the best mindset shifts that I’ve made since becoming a mom of two, is accepting that there is no doing at all.

And that this is a season of life where there’s a lot of things I just don’t do.

And if I have to eat out for most of my lunches. Or eagt leftovers that nobody wants. So be it.

at the end of the day, I’d rather come out of this with my mental health intact.
