Daphne Xuan creates travel videos and photo guides focused on British Columbia and local spots. They blend cinematic videography with a grounded perspective on hidden gems like markets and retro cafes. This storytelling style appeals to viewers looking for slow-paced, authentic ways to explore the West Coast.
I'm a Chinese-Canadian content creator from Vancouver with a love for travel, storytelling, and videography. I document my adventures through video and feature a mix of the urban and the natural - whether it's somewhere closer in Vancouver (where I can give a local's perspective) and British Columbia, or places a bit further away. Sometimes I travel solo. I like to say I bridge the gap between modern travel vlogs and traditional travel shows.

The Saturday market is a must-do on Salt Spring Island. You’ll be impressed how big it is! Everything sold here must be made or grown on the island and sold by the makers/growers themselves. Full video of my 3 day visit now up on YouTube.

Three slow days exploring Salt Spring Island in BC. Full video now up on YT. #saltspringisland

When @sophiescosmiccafe kindly invited me over for a meal, I took it as an opportunity to film something fun in the quirky and retro restaurant. Sophie’s Cosmic Cafe is a Vancouver institution by now, serving up brunch in the Kitsilano neighbourhood since 1988. Shown in this video is the yummy workout burger and strawberry milkshake - enough to keep you full for a day. It was also a fun (and ngl stressful) experiment filming this whole thing just using my @djiglobal Osmo Pocket 3, without any other lenses. It’s only 20mm, making it pretty wide - but sometimes you need to challenge yourself with some constraints! HUGE thanks to @themediocrityproject for handling the camera and helping to make this video happen (don’t worry she also got a burger and a milkshake). #retrodiner #vancouver #djiosmopocket

@themediocrityproject and I getting blinded by the flash in a vintage photobooth at @slicevancouver. This is a snippet from my latest YouTube video where we show you a day spent on Vancouver’s Commercial Drive

How we spent a day on Commercial Drive in Vancouver in photos. Taken from my recent YouTube video.

I’d buy those flowers if I didn’t have a cat at home that finds them delicious. Snippet from the new video on YouTube. 🌼
