I was invited to Google Cloud’s Ascend ’26 and I left inspired about the Future of AI!

7 takeaways that stayed with me:

1. The gap between an idea and a prototype is shrinking.
Between Mark McDonald’s demos and the “Prompt the platform” session, it was striking how quickly an idea could become something you can test. For anyone building without a traditional coding background, that opens up possibilities.

2. AI is stepping out of the screen.
Mark McDonald’s Google DeepMind session showed how AI is moving into the physical world through robotics. Seeing systems learn to interact with their surroundings made the possibilities feel much more tangible.

3. Build the machine. Keep the humanity.
Nick Mason’s reminder stayed with me. As building becomes easier, relationships, trust and the people willing to vouch for you still matter.

4. Your story is part of your product’s success.
Another takeaway from Nick Mason: the way you explain what you’re building can help win customers, investment and the people you need on your team. Your story deserves attention alongside your product.

5. Australia’s AI ecosystem has serious momentum.
Google shared that nearly 85% of Australia’s funded AI startups are building on Google Cloud. My conversation with Mike Langford added context around how founders are building faster, and why costs, security and scale need attention early.

6. Stay obsessed with the problem. Stay flexible about the solution.
In our interview, Mike Langford highlighted Niki Scevak’s advice about being problem-obsessed. The tools will keep changing. Stay close to your customers and be willing to change how you help them.

7. Don’t limp along. Go for the moonshot.
My takeaway from Tim Doyle’s session: give yourself permission to think bigger about what you’re building.
Thanks to the speakers and the Google Cloud team for a day that left me with plenty to think about!

Claude just got scary good at video animation. Every 3D world in this video was built in a chat:

1. Open Claude on Opus 5.5 (no plugins or MCP servers needed).
2. Ask for Three.js, the free code library behind most 3D on the web.
3. Paste a prompt template and Claude builds the whole animation for you.

Change one line in the prompt and you get a brand new world: a rocket factory, a harbour, a dashboard, your own business.

Follow along to learn how to do it yourself.

You can now make 3D animations like these with Claude, and it takes less than a minute:

1. Switch Claude to Opus 5.5. Nothing to install: no plugins, skills or MCP servers.
2. Tell it to use Three.js, a free and open source code library.
3. Drop in a prompt template and watch Claude build the animation in the chat.

Swap the world in the prompt for anything you like: a live dashboard, an explainer video or a 3D tour of your business.

Follow along for the step-by-step.

Claude's new update is insane at 3D animation. Here's how to make videos like these in under 60 seconds:

1. Open Claude and switch to Opus 5.5. No plugins, skills or MCP servers needed.
2. Ask it to use Three.js, a completely free code library.
3. Paste in a prompt template and Claude builds your animation right there in the chat.

Change the world in the prompt and you get a completely new one: a dashboard, an explainer video, even a 3D tour of your business.

Follow along to learn how to do this in more detail.

Give me one weekend and I'll make you better at Claude than 90% of people.

Here's the plan, step by step:
1. Saturday morning: your About Me doc (Claude asks you 50 questions, one at a time)
2. Saturday afternoon: a second brain for all your context, tasks and docs
3. Saturday evening: your real work moved into Projects, one per area of your life
4. Sunday morning: your apps connected via MCP
5. Sunday afternoon: a few skills installed, and one real thing built

Most people stop at step 4. Don't.

Comment ROADMAP for the full plan, or ABOUT ME for the 50 questions.

If I had to learn Claude in one weekend, this is the exact 5-step roadmap I'd use 👇

Saturday morning: build your About Me doc. Have Claude ask you 50 questions about yourself, one at a time.
Saturday afternoon: set up your second brain, one home for all your context, tasks and docs.
Saturday evening: move your real work into Projects, one per area of your life.
Sunday morning: connect your apps via MCP so Claude works inside the tools you already use.
Sunday afternoon: install a few skills and build one real thing you'll actually use.

You don't learn Claude by reading about it. You learn it by doing.

Comment ROADMAP and I'll send you the full plan (or ABOUT ME for the 50 questions).
