TL;DR. An influencer proposal is a one-page document that tells a brand who you are, what you will make for them, what it costs and what they get back. Brands say yes to proposals that are short, specific and show a price.
Get the template as a Google Doc, or copy it from below. Fill in the brackets and send it as a PDF or a link.
Use it after the first reply. A cold email opens the door; the proposal closes the deal.
The 8 sections every proposal needs, a filled-in example, and the 5 mistakes that get proposals ignored are all below.
๐ Create a free creator profile on Superdeal so brands find you and send offers, no proposal needed.
An influencer proposal is a short document a creator sends a brand to turn interest into a paid deal. It answers four questions in one page: who you are, who watches you, what you will make, and what it costs. If a brand has replied "what did you have in mind?", that is your cue to send one.
What Is an Influencer Proposal?
Three documents get mixed up all the time. Here is how they fit together:
Pitch email: five or six lines that start the conversation. No price, no attachments needed.
Proposal: one page with your idea, deliverables, timeline and price. Sent once the brand is interested.
Contract: the signed version of the proposal, with payment terms and usage rights spelled out. See our influencer contract template.
Your media kit is about you. The proposal is about this one campaign for this one brand.
When Should You Send a Proposal?
Send one when:
A brand replies to your pitch and asks for ideas or rates.
The deal is paid, or has more than one deliverable.
You are pitching an ongoing partnership, like a three-month series or an ambassador role.
Skip it for a first cold email. A wall of text before anyone asked for it gets archived. Send a short pitch email first, and keep the proposal ready.
What to Include in an Influencer Proposal (8 Sections)
Every proposal that gets a yes has the same backbone:
About you. Two or three sentences: your niche, your platforms, what your audience trusts you for.
Your audience. Followers, average views, engagement rate, top countries, age range. Real numbers from your insights, not rounded up.
Why this brand. One specific reason. "I have used your cast iron pan for two years" beats "I love your brand."
The idea. One or two sentences per piece of content. What happens in the video, and why it fits your audience.
Deliverables. Format, length, platform and posting date for each piece.
Price. A fee per deliverable, plus separate lines for usage rights, paid ads (whitelisting) and exclusivity.
Timeline. Draft date, revision window, posting date.
Results and next step. What you will report back after posting, and how the brand says yes.
The two sections creators skip most are the price and the next step. Leave out either one and the brand has to email you again, which is often where deals die.

Example: A Filled-In Proposal
Here is the same template filled in for a made-up home cooking creator and a made-up cookware brand. The numbers are an example, not a rate guide.
Partnership proposal: Maya Chen x Skillet Co.
1. About me I'm Maya, a home cooking creator on Instagram and TikTok. My audience follows me for 20-minute dinners that don't need fancy gear.
2. My audience Instagram: 18,400 followers, 9,500 average Reel views, 4.8% engagement. TikTok: 11,200 followers, 14,000 average views. 81% US, mostly 25-34.
3. Why Skillet Co. I've cooked in your 10-inch skillet for two years, and "what pan is that?" is my most common comment.
4. Campaign idea One Reel: a full dinner in the skillet in under 20 minutes, ending with a 5-second cleanup. One Story set answering the pan questions from my comments.
5. Deliverables 1 x 30-second Reel on Instagram and TikTok by May 14. 1 x Story set (3 frames, link sticker) on May 15.
6. Investment Reel on both platforms: $450. Story set: $150. Brand channel usage, 90 days: $150. Total: $750, 50% on signing, 50% on posting.
7. Timeline Draft May 7, feedback May 9, one round of revisions, live May 14.
8. Next step Views, saves and clicks sent within 7 days. Reply "yes" and I'll send the contract.
Notice what it does not have: no long story about how the creator got started, no "let me know your budget." Short, specific, priced.
How Do You Price an Influencer Proposal?
Start from your per-post rate, then add the extras as separate lines. Our influencer rate card guide has ranges by follower count and platform.
Three rules keep pricing clean:
Price usage rights separately. Posting on your account and the brand running your video on their channels or in ads are different things. Charge for each.
Put a time limit on usage. 30, 60 or 90 days. "Forever" should cost a lot more, or be a no.
Show a total and payment terms. A total makes it easy to approve. 50% upfront, 50% on posting protects you if the brand goes quiet.
Brand Collaboration Proposal vs. Influencer Marketing Proposal
The template above is a brand collaboration proposal: a creator pitching a brand. People also search for an influencer marketing proposal template, which usually means the other direction: a marketer or agency proposing a campaign to a client or their own boss. That version has different sections:
Influencer marketing proposal: [Campaign name]
Goal: [e.g. 200 first-time buyers from TikTok in 6 weeks]
Audience: [who we want to reach]
Creators: [number] creators, [follower range], niches: [list]. Shortlist attached.
Content: [number and type of posts per creator]
Budget: creator fees $[amount] | product $[amount] | paid ads boost $[amount] | total $[amount]
Timeline: outreach [dates] | content [dates] | live [dates] | report [date]
How we measure it: [views, clicks, codes used, sales, cost per sale]
Risks and plan B: [e.g. extra creators on standby if anyone drops out]
If you are on the brand side, finding the creators is usually the slow part. You can search Superdeal's free creator database by niche and send offers directly.
5 Mistakes That Get Influencer Proposals Ignored
Copy-paste flattery. "I love your brand and your values" tells them nothing. Name the product and why it fits.
No numbers. A brand cannot approve a budget without views and engagement. Screenshots of your insights are fine.
Hiding the price. "Let me know your budget" adds a round of emails. Put your price in. They can still negotiate.
Too long. More than one page and it reads like homework. Cut the backstory.
No clear next step. End with exactly how to say yes, and what happens after.
Skip the Proposal: Let Brands Come to You
Proposals work, but they take time for every single brand. On Superdeal, creators get a free public profile that brands search by niche. When a brand sends an offer, the deliverables and price are already in it, a contract is generated for both sides, and payment is held until the content is delivered.

Influencer Proposal Template FAQ
What is an influencer proposal?
A one-page document a creator sends a brand describing a campaign idea, the deliverables, the timeline and the price. It usually follows a pitch email and comes before a contract.
How long should an influencer proposal be?
One page, two at most. If a brand has to scroll for long, the important parts (idea, deliverables, price) get missed.
Should I include my rates in a proposal?
Yes. A proposal without a price forces another round of emails. List a price per deliverable and the extras, like usage rights, as separate lines.
What is the difference between a proposal and a media kit?
A media kit is about you: your audience, your past work, your general rates. A proposal is about one campaign for one brand, with a specific idea and a total price.
What format should I send it in?
A PDF or a view-only Google Doc link. Name the file clearly, like "Maya Chen x Skillet Co. proposal.pdf", and paste the total price in the email body too.
